Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and E-Z Open Garage Door Service, Inc. ("EZ Open," "we," "us," or "our"), 105 Man O War Dr, Danville, KY 40422. They govern your use of ezopenky.com (the "Site") and the garage-door repair, installation, maintenance, and related services we provide (the "Services"). By using the Site, requesting a quote, or engaging our Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information and the choices you have under Your Privacy Choices. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Our Services

E-Z Open Garage Door Service, Inc. provides residential and commercial garage-door services in Central Kentucky — including Boyle, Mercer, Garrard, Lincoln, Jessamine & Casey Counties — from our office in Danville, KY. Services are subject to availability, technician scheduling, and parts supply, and may vary by location. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion, including where a door, opener, or site condition cannot be made safe.

Estimates, Scheduling & Cancellation

• Quotes and estimates are based on the information available when they are prepared (your description, photos, or an on-site inspection). If additional work or parts are discovered once a technician is on site, we will explain the change and obtain your approval before proceeding.
• Appointments are scheduled in arrival windows. We make every effort to arrive within the window and will contact you if a prior job runs long.
• Please give at least one business day's notice to cancel or reschedule when possible. Missed appointments without notice may be subject to a trip or service-call charge.
• After-hours and emergency service is offered subject to technician availability and may carry after-hours rates, which we will state before dispatch.

Pricing & Payment

• Pricing is provided before work begins and confirmed in writing on request.
• Payment is due on completion of the work unless other terms are agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods are stated on your invoice.
• Financing, where offered, is provided by an independent lender through the lender's own secure application. The lender's terms, credit decisions, and rates are the lender's alone; we never collect card or bank details on the Site (see the Payment Security section of our Privacy Policy).
• Past-due balances may be subject to interest and collection costs to the extent allowed by Kentucky law.

Warranties

We stand behind our workmanship. Labor warranties and manufacturer warranties on doors, openers, springs, and parts vary by product and service type and are stated on your invoice or in the manufacturer's documentation. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, weather events, vehicle impact, work performed by others, or modifications made after our service. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN WRITING, THE SERVICES AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Safety & Your Responsibilities

Garage doors and torsion springs are under high tension and can cause serious injury. Information on the Site — including guides, FAQs, and the door-symptom tools — is general information only and is not a substitute for service by a trained technician. Do not attempt spring, cable, or opener repairs yourself. You agree to provide safe access to the work area, disclose known hazards, and keep people and pets clear of the door during service.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, E-Z OPEN GARAGE DOOR SERVICE, INC., ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND TECHNICIANS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF USE, PROFITS, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO A SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT SERVICE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Intellectual Property

The Site and its content — text, guides, photographs, graphics, logos, the "E-Z Open" and "EZ Open Garage Door" names and marks, and the design of the Site — are owned by E-Z Open Garage Door Service, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, scrape, frame, or create derivative works from the Site without our written permission. Manufacturer names and logos belong to their respective owners.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to submit false or misleading requests, to interfere with its operation or security, to bypass our spam protection, to harvest information about other users, or for any unlawful purpose. We may restrict access for anyone who violates these Terms.

Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

Texting is optional. If you check the separate text-message consent box on one of our forms, you authorize E-Z Open Garage Door Service, Inc. to send text messages about your request — appointment confirmations, service updates, and follow-ups — to the mobile number you provided, which may be sent using automated technology. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe whenever you wish and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Your mobile opt-in information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your phone number.

Website Chat

The "Text us" button on the Site is provided through Podium, a third-party messaging service, and is answered by our team. Conversations you start there continue by text message under the SMS Terms above and Podium's own terms, which the chat window shows before you send a message — including that replies may use automated means or AI-generated content. Do not send card numbers or other sensitive financial information through chat.

Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party sites (financing applications, manufacturer resources, review platforms, and maps). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from the Site or the Services are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in or serving Boyle County, Kentucky have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any such dispute, and you waive any objection to that venue. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the Site or the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
